Getting Started with the RealWear Navigator 500

Step 1: Fitting the Realwear Navigator 500 and start it up

Identify eye dominance - found here
Place the display close to your eyes
Place the display slightly underneath your eye, so you have a clear line of sight
Press and hold the power button for three seconds to start the device

Step 2: Connect Realwear Navigator 500 to Wifi

Make sure you are in the home menu by saying “Navigate Home”.
Say “My Programs”
Say “Settings”
Say “Network & Internet”
Say “Wireless Networks”
Say “Show help” to show numbers
Say “Hide Help’’ to close help menu
Say “Select Item (number)” to select your network
Fill in your password by choosing one of the options that are displayed in the pop-up dashboard.
When you’re done, say “Close Dashboard”
Now, say “Connect”

Step 3: Start the Application

Make sure you are in the home menu by saying “Navigate Home”.
Go to your programs by saying: “My Programs”.
Say the name of the application you want to start.
Another option is to say “Select Item (number)”.
The application should now open.

How to install the Realwear Companion app

The purpose of the companion app is to assist in configuring your Realwear Navigator 500 by generating QR Codes on your smartphone. You can download the app on your Smartphone from the Google Play or Apple App Store by searching for: “Realwear Companion”.

Or a Smartphone

How to set volume?

From the home menu (“Navigate Home”).
Say “My Controls”.
Say “Volume”.
Set level (numbers 1-10).

Navigate Home - Go to the Home Screen
Navigate Back - Go to Previous Screen
My Controls - Go to System Control Panel
Mute Microphone - Mutes the microphone
My Notifications - Opens the notification section
Recent Applications - Opens Applications running in background
Show Help - Shows help commands for current screen
